Case Officer for the Supervisory Authority
Do you want to contribute to strengthening legal security for some of society's most vulnerable individuals? The Supervisory Authority is now looking for a meticulous and responsible case officer for a fixed-term assignment who wants to ensure that individuals who cannot assert their rights are given the same opportunities as everyone else.
Your Assignment
The Supervisory Authority ensures that individuals who cannot assert their rights due to illness and similar circumstances are given the same rights as everyone else and are not disadvantaged financially or legally. The unit's mission is to supervise and control guardianship, trusteeship, and administration through annual reviews and to make decisions regarding approvals for various actions that representatives need to perform in their duties. The activities of the Supervisory Authority and the representatives' assignments are regulated by the Parent Code. The Supervisory Authority handles cases for the municipalities of Nacka, Värmdö, and Vaxholm. The unit has 10 employees working with supervisory issues.
As a case officer in this assignment, you will primarily:
- Review incoming annual accounts and reports from guardians, administrators, and custodians according to established procedures.
- Make financial and legal assessments of the documents.
- Make decisions on fees based on the representatives' assignments.
- Engage in dialogue with representatives, principals, and sometimes relatives.
The work is independent and requires a good ability to analyze, assess, and make decisions based on legislation and guidelines.
Is this you?
We are looking for someone who:
- Has relevant post-secondary education in law or economics.
- Has a good ability to understand legislation and practice and apply it in practice.
- Is meticulous, structured, and confident in making decisions.
- Communicates clearly in both speech and writing.
- Enjoys independent work but also contributes to the team's common goals.
Experience in public authority work or with financial/legal case handling is an advantage.
